Right to Information Act No. 4982

The purpose of Right to Information Act No. 4982 enacted on 24 April 2004 and published on Official Journal numbered 25269 and dated 24th October 2003 is to regulate the guidelines and procedures related to usage of right to information of people according to principles of equality, objectivity and transparency required by democratic and transparent administration.

Legislation About Guidelines and Procedures For Implementation of Right to Information Act

The purpose of Legislation enacted after being published on Official Journal numbered 25445 and dated 27 April 2004 is to regulate guidelines and procedures for the implementation of Right to Information Act related to the usage of right to information by natural persons and legal entities.

QUALITY OF THE INFORMATION OR DOCUMENT TO BE REQUESTED

Information or documents that are published on our Association’s website or announced to the public via channels like book, brochure, announcement etc. will not be a subject to the application of information.  Thus, please check if the information or documents that you request is already on our website or not before you apply.

Information requests are limited to the information or documents already existing in our Association. For this reason, the applications for information or document that can be obtained only by separate and special study, research, examination or analysis, the applications for information or document related to a procedure that is not ripened, and also the applications for information or document about the subjects regulated as exceptions of right to information on Right to Information Act and the Regulation for Right to Information will be rejected.

PUBLISHING INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS IS FORBIDDEN

Information and documents obtained within the scope of basis and procedures stated in Right to Information Act and Legislation cannot be copied for trading, cannot be published without permission from institutions and organization access. Provision of law related to criminal and civil liability is imposed to the people who copy, use or publish information and documents accessed in defiance of such.

WAYS OF APPLICATION

Application to our Association for information can be made by the following ways.

1 – VIA MAIL

a) Application for information by natural people;

- Name and surname of applicant,

- Residential or business address,

- Republic of Turkey Citizenship Number,

- Signature,

A petition including these documents should be delivered to the postal address below of our Association.

b) Application for information by legal entities;

- Name of legal entity,

- Address,

- Republic of Turkey Citizenship Number of the individual authorized to represent,

- Signature of the individual authorized to represent,

- Certificates of authorization,

A petition including these documents should be delivered to the postal address below of our Association.

Applicants may also use the application forms while submitting their petitions related to application for information aiming to provide access the requested information or document and to ease the process of putting the request of information.

2 – VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL

a) Applications via electronic mail by natural people should be done by filling Application Form in the name of natural people. The form should be sent to bilgi.edinme@tdub.org.tr address of our Association’s Information Unit with the information of;

- Name and surname of applicant,

- Residential or business address,

- Republic of Turkey Citizenship Number,

 

b) Applications via electronic mail by legal entities should be done by filling Application Form in the name of legal entity. The form should be sent to bilgi.edinme@tdub.org.tr address of our Association’s Information Unit with the information of;

- Name of legal entity,

- Address,

- Republic of Turkey Citizenship Number of the individual authorized to represent,

- Certificates of authorization,

 

3 – VIA FAX

Application petitions can be delivered to our Association via fax, too.  A petition including the information requested for applications via electronic mail should be sent to the fax number stated below.

For the petitions delivered via fax, owner of the petition should write down the fax number to be used if they prefer to be informed via fax.
